The Sincerity

I think it is time I organise my learning and be a bit more systematic.  Today I am learning Surah Al-Ikhlas (The Sincerity).  It is the 112th Surah (chapter) of the 114 Surahs of the Qur'an.  It has four verses.

Say, "He is God, One".
"God, the Eternal, Absolute".
"He begets not, nor is He begotten".
"And there is none like Him".

I learned that the term "as-samad" (the eternal, absolute) occurs only once in the Qur'an and is applied to God alone.

  6. Look at the animal, the big ears, ever sensitive to its surroundings... the sharp eyes. Animals are always alert, every second. I bet, they understand the verse too...... and some end up as daging korban. Is that a deer or kijang or something?

  7. Hey Aishah, Popped in to visit and to my surprise discovered that you are a Muslim. How about that! As you must know by now I'm a Christian and take all my spiritual guidance from the Bible, have done so for many years. The verse you have Quoted above is obviously quoted in the Bible too but possibly worded somewhat differently. Yes there is only one God and no matter what anyone thinks about Him it really is all about having a relationship with the living God because He loves us. God bless you girl.

  14. Well, I don't know whether you've ever been a teacher, but through your blog I'm getting acquainted more and more with the Qu'ran. Even if I don't agree with the central idea behind it, it's making me be more accepting and understanding of Muslim culture. Many thanks.

    Greetings from London.
